“We don’t have rules,” Willow’s mom, Jada Pinkett Smith, told Style magazine. “We come up with agreements. Kids are little people, and we’re in life to guide them. Trying to rule someone is always an illusion — and it’s no different with children.”
Most kids would argue they didn’t need to be punished if they did something wrong — much like we did as kids! — but the “Whip My Hair” singer has learned a lot in her decade on Earth.
Jada recalled a time when Willow disobeyed her parents and set up a page on a social networking site: “I told her not to, so I was so mad. I said, ‘What do you think I should do now?’ So Willow said, ‘Mom, take my computer away’. And I said, ‘How long for?’ She said a month.” Seriously? What kid does that?!
“I’m not saying it’s always perfect,” Jada admitted. We can only imagine a not-perfect rule-breaking scenario at the Smith household. Perhaps Jaden and Willow fighting over who gets to record the next song with Justin Bieber — as Jaden has been appearing as a surprise guest for Justin’s Jingle Ball appearances and Willow is going on tour with him in Europe.
The punishment we’d give ourselves if we were in a fight like that? Grounded. But with The Biebs of course.
Zuri1′s input :
The fact that Williow told The Briitsh newspaper, The TELEGRAPH during an interview that “work” means she has less time to study with her personal tutor and has had to miss some classes.
She said: “I never really get to go to school because I am always on tour or with my father. There is a tutor most of the time, but usually I am working so I never get to do the lessons. The worst thing about maths is all the kids are ahead of me because they go to school.
Jada and Will need to get a grip and I mean fast. Leave Scientology alone find God and become better parents.
