Janet Jackson has confirmed that she will not be attending a tribute concert to her late brother Michael Jackson because the tribute coincides with the Dr. Conrad Murray trial.

Her statement says:

“Because of the trial, the timing of this tribute to our brother would be too difficult for me.”

The show Michael Forever – The Tribute Concert is scheduled to go off Oct. 8 in Cardiff Wales, while the Murray trial begins on Sept. 27. MJ’s mom Katherine and some of the other Jacksons are scheduled to attend the tribute.
