Retired NFL star Junior Seau was arrested early this morning for domestic violence in San Diego, where he spent the majority of his pro football career.
Seau was booked at the Vista Detention Facility around 2 a.m. and released about 90 minutes later. It wouldn’t be the last time he made headlines today.
Dude drove his SUV off a cliff!
The footballer’s car drove off a cliff in Carlsbad, Calif., and he survived despite sustaining injuries in the wreck, according to police who arrived at the scene.
Seau has been transported to a local hospital. The accident happened just south of Oceanside, Calif., where he grew up and where he was arrested earlier today.
It’s unclear what caused the crash, but stay tuned …
UPDATE: Seau’s accuser is his 25-year-old girlfriend, who claims the NFL star assaulted her during a verbal argument at Junior’s home late last night.
Once the police arrived, Junior had already left the home and the alleged victim said she sustained minor injuries that did not require medical treatment.
