While other 6-year-olds are busy learning how to tie their shoes, Lori Anne Madison is qualifying for the National Spelling Bee.
The youngest student to ever qualify for the event, Madison explained her affinity for words with the simple brevity you would expect from a kindergartener.
“There’s just something about it I love,” Madison told ABC News.
Madison rattled off “disestablishmentarianism” (noun – adherence to or advocacy of the principle of disestablishment) on camera with ease while offhandedly mentioning other words she enjoys based upon their Greek and Latin roots.
No one is expecting her to win, but that doesn’t mean she couldn’t pull off an U-P-S-E-T.
