A Bolingbrook woman was crushed and killed when an SUV crashed into her apartment early this morning, according to officials.
Police believe that alcohol was a factor in the crash, said Bolingbrook police Lt. Mike Rompa. A 17-year-old boy driving the vehicle has been arrested and another person was being interviewed by police, said Bolingbrook Police Lt. Carter Larry. Police are working with the Will County States Attorney’s Office for charges, he said.
The victim was identified as Josefina Prospero, 48, police said. She was trapped under the SUV and later pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash happened at about 2:20 a.m. in the 300 block of Woodcreek Drive in Bolingbrook, officials said.
A teen was driving the SUV when it ran off the road and crashed through a window into the bedroom of a first-floor apartment, police said. The SUV landed on top of Prospero, who was asleep in her bed.
The vehicle apparently drove through a common area in the complex, past another building, before it crashed into the building.
“You definitely would question why a vehicle would be there,” Rompa said. “It wasn’t like it was someone parking and pushed the wrong pedal.”
The 17-year-old and the other person also were taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, police said. A hospital spokeswoman declined to provide information on their conditions.
