A teenager is now in custody for the murder of his father in Yallahs, St Thomas yesterday.
The dead man has been identified as 52-year-old Neville Whyte, otherwise called ‘Robert’, a fisherman of Bottle Torch Scheme.
The Yallahs Police report that about 4:10 pm, Whyte and his son had an altercation when stones and a knife came into play. The knife was used to stab the senior Whyte, who was taken to the Princess Margaret Hospital where he died.
The son fled but was held by a resident this morning, and is now in police custody.
His identity has not been released by the police.
