St. Jago High School in Spanish Town, St. Catherine (Jamaica). Students are hiding under their desks, lying on the floor, and cowering in fear during the heavy gunfire in the Rivoli area.

Reports indicated that heavy and continuous gunfire ensued in the area for several minutes, and continues sporadically.

There is heavy police and military presence in the area.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force has advised that parents that they should not attempt to pick up their children in the Spanish Town Area.

Responding to advisories issued by certain affected schools including St. Jago Preparatory School, the Police have indicated that it is not yet safe for parents to go into the area, as gunfire continues.
